Kasos Residence, with its 230 sq.m. of living spaces and 180 sq.m. of verandas, was designed by the famous Greek architect D. Antonakakis. A spacious living and dining room, a large open kitchen, three double bedrooms and wide verandas offer a luxurious stay. A Mediterranean garden surrounding the house secures its privacy. Guests can enjoy the peace and quiet of the area, savouring the fresh air and the aromas of the Mediterranean flora.
A wide 6 steps wooden staircase leads from the entrance level down to the spacious living and dining room. The room has a panoramic view of Souda Bay and the White Mountains through its wall to wall southern windows and its eastern veranda slide doors and a view to the garden through the western window.
The living room has a sitting area with two couches and a coffee table in front of the eastern veranda slide doors. There is also a home entertainment corner, including a 55' smart TV with Netflix and Home Cinema. Two comfortable armchairs with a small antique coffee table rest in front of one of the southern windows, the ideal spot to rest body and soul. A dining table for 8, between the southern veranda door and the fireplace awaits guests to enjoy Cretan delicacies. An antique French wooden buffet completes the furnishing of the room. Along the southern windows a built-in bench with cushions invites friends to sit together and relax.
The 20 sq.m. Master Bedroom is furnished with a king-size double bed, bedside tables, a desk and chair, and two armchairs with a coffee table next to a long window facing Souda bay and the White Mountains. A balcony door is opening to a private veranda with a table and chairs. A third window is facing the garden and the hill opposite the house. There is a smart TV with Netflix streaming for the entertainment of quests. The en-suite bathroom has a shower cabin with a window allowing you to admire the sea and mountain view.
The 16 sq.m. Second Bedroom is the coziest room of the house. The king-size bed can be made either as a twin or a double. There are bedside tables, a desk and chair and an armchair with coffee table near the long window facing the garden and hill. Feel free to borrow any book from the selection on the library shelves. The en-suite bathroom has a shower and plenty of light from the window facing the garden.
The 18 sq.m. Third Bedroom is situated on the top floor offering complete privacy. It is furnished with twin beds, bedside tables, an armchair, a chest of drawers and an open cupboard. The window and the balcony door open to a veranda overseeing the garden. Two veranda doors on the right and left side of the room open to the terraces of the house. It has its own bathroom with shower on the first floor. The stairs leading to the room are very comfortable and have safety lights.
All bedrooms are airconditioned, have sound-proof doors, double-glaze windows with shutters, curtains, blinders and mosquito nets. There are smoke detectors on the ceiling, fire extinguishers next to their door and hangers for towels in their bathroom.
Towels, bathrobes, slippers, “ZEALOTS of NATURE Everyday Aesthetics” soap, shower gel, body milk, shampoo and conditioner are provided, as well as hair blowers. Cotton blankets, down duvets and extra pillows are available.
Beds, mattresses, top mattresses, pillows, bedsheets, cotton blankets, down duvets, towels, bathrobes and beach towels are of superior Coco-Mat quality “Sleep on Nature”.
The house has a large, fully equipped open kitchen. The kitchen bench, with its sea view, is the ideal spot for a quick coffee. The shady kitchen veranda with its table and chairs, is the most inviting place for breakfast.
The living area opens to two large verandas, the east and the south. The 50 sq.m. East Veranda is directly connected with the garden via a staircase situated next to the garage. The house protects the two sides of the veranda, making it the ideal place to sit and watch the sunrise and the full moon rise. It includes a sitting area and a dining area. The sitting area has a comfortable corner sofa with plenty of pillows to lie on and a coffee table. The dining area has an expandable table sitting up to 10 guests.
The 30 sq.m. South Veranda, with its built-in benches around its sides covered with pillows and its two long coffee tables, is the ideal place for a group of friends to sit and chat. It has unrestricted view of the surroundings, and on a clear day one can see as far as the Sitia mountains, 100 km away.
The house is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden. Olive trees, fig trees, pomegranates, palms, cypresses, locust trees (haroupia), lemon trees, bougainvilleas, jasmines, glysines, bamboo, oleanders, hibiscuses, roses, rosemary, thyme, oregano, lavender are some of the trees and plants you can find in the spacious upper garden. On the upper garden there is also a, very rare in Greece, gingko biloba tree. Along the front of the house there is a yard with full view of the sea and mountains, an ideal spot for sunbathing.
A door leads to the descending path which traverses the lower garden. The lower garden has the endemic flowers and trees of the area and can be an interesting place to explore and become familiar with Crete’s flora.
There is space for two passenger cars inside the garage and plenty more space in the paved part of the garden. There is plenty of free parking space in the street by the garden wall and all around the area, under the tree shadow.
