The villa consists of a central building and three (3) independent guest houses.Built volumes are juxtaposed with exterior spaces both towards the northeast with unobstructed views of Ermoupolis(from the upper level of the main unit) and to the southeast of the islands Mykonos, Tinos and Andros.The positioning of the house follows the site’s sloping landscape, overlooking the very proximate twin islands called “Didimi”(or “Gaidaros”) where the lighthouse( “pharos” ) of Syros is located. Ships and boats entering into the port of Syros navigate spectacularly in the waters right between Didimi and the house.
From the northeast areas of the house the views of Ermoupolis start from its port and reach the two characteristic hills at the top of the town where two magnificent, one catholic and one orthodox, cathedrals are situated.The list of the must- see sites and buildings in Ermoupolis is endless. Many cultural activities are organized every summer amongst which theater performances, a classical music international festival and various other concerts. The town offers a great variety of restaurants, bars and a casino.
Swimming is easy, in addition to the small solitary beach at 200 meters from the house, easily accessible are the organized beach of Azolymnos (at 2 km), Vari, Ahladi (at 3km), MegasGialos (at 5 km), Delfini bay (at 10 km).
The architecture of the villa is subtle and very modern, designed by an award winning Greek architect who achieved total integration of the buildings’ materials and colors into a typical Aegean landscape.
The villa covers 235 m2. The ground floor level of the main house (140 m2) consists of the living with a fireplace and lounge seating for 10, the dining room with seating for 8 persons, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom while the upper floor accommodates the master bedroom, en suite bathroom and a study that looks towards Ermoupolis with two independent balconies. The latter can also be used as a second bedroom, very convenient for families with children.
The guest houses though small in size (30 m2 each approximately), are completely independent as they have exterior access and provide an “en suite” bathroom, kitchenette, refrigerator and patios.
The outside areas offer balconies and terraces, lawn / garden, and outdoor grill gas, garden chairs and a walkway to the beach.
The villa welcomes long-term renters, children welcome and is suitable for elderly or infirm. Pets considered.
