It is a 60m2 house, with 2 bedrooms (one with two single beds and one with a double bed, a/c and direct access to the garden). There is a bathroom with shower and a separate room with washing machine. The living room has a 43” smart TV, wifi and a/c, and leads into a balcony that has direct sea view and a 6-people table. There is also a sofa-bed that can accommodate 2 more people. The kitchen is fully equipped and has also a dishwasher.
The garden offers privacy and quietness and has the wonderful ”Votsalo-shaped” table and sitting area that can accommodate up to 10 people , for lunch, dinner or just a drink at sunset, under a wooden pergola. It is child safe, has sun beds and gorgeous natural shade from a huge bokamvilia tree – the well known red flower trees that one finds on Cycladic islands.
From the main entrance side there is a separate pergola and sitting area equipped with table and 4 chairs, which protects well from north winds – another nice option to enjoy being outside, depending on the weather.
The parking is private and safe, with plenty of space for water sport equipment, bicycles etc. All windows have mosquito nets and the renowned Papoutsanis Karavaki amenities are provided.
Tasos is located 150m from Glyfada beach, a sandy beach that stretches 2km , all the way to Mikri Vigla. Due to its orientation, north winds do not cause waves and the water deepens very slowly, making it a very child friendly beachfront. The beach can be reached through a private path, no road crossing or cars.
Within 150m there is a kite/paddle board school/rental place, as well as a great taverna (Glyfada) with amazing sea views. There is a bus stop within 100m, two fantastic beachfront bars within 700m (Blue Lagoon and Blue Myth), one of the best restaurants of the island (Axiotissa) at 1km and two more tavernas (Faros and Apolafsi) also within 1km.
The whole beachfront, all the way towards the south and the Alyko beach it is a Natura 2000 classified area. From the house one can also walk to the cedar forest, to the “Hawai” beach and all the way to the hotel ruins next to Alyko beach, a fantastic “soft” walk for families.
