The cosmopolitan islands of Póros (25 km), Hydra (40 km) and Spétses (45 km) and the picturesque port city of Náfplion (50 km) are within easy reach by car and shuttle or ferry boat service. The famous archeological sites of the Sanctuary of Asklepios (25 km), Mycénae (70 km), and Tíryns (60 km), all in the World Heritage List, are also within easy reach. The Méthana Peninsula, known for its volcanic spa and picturesque fishing villages, is only 20 km away by car or 5 nautical miles (15 min) by speedboat. The islands of Angístri and Áegina are 10 and 15 nautical miles away and can be reached by speed boat.
Villa Seafront is built on an inclined site by the sea. It stands on a terrain of two acres (8.000 m2), it covers 240 m2 and is surrounded by spacious verandas and gardens, with a private swimming pool, doubles tennis court and a “belvedere kiosk”.
The villa has three levels with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 WCs, spacious living area (sitting-lounging and dining), study, kitchen with an additional small dining area, and a playroom. All levels are connected by a central staircase.
The main entrance is at the center of the house, under the covered porch, on main level. This level is open space with kitchen-small dining area, main dining area, sitting area, study, WC and a storage room by the kitchen. The central staircase leads to the upper and lower levels.
All rooms on the main level face mainly east and have uninterrupted views to the pool, gardens, sea and the land farther away through large openings. There are verandas on three sides, that can be reached through the main entrance, two auxiliary entrances and extra veranda doors, which also give access to the porch and the swimming pool. The main outdoor sitting-lounging and dining area is on this level, as is the deck by the swimming pool, with extra outdoor sitting and lying space.
On the upper level there are four bedrooms; one double with a fireplace and en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi, another double with en-suite WC, a third double room with elevated extra single bed and adjacent bathroom and one bedroom with two single beds, one of them elevated, a sofa that can be used as a semi-double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. Access to all bedrooms is through the lobby around the central staircase.
All bedrooms and bathrooms face mainly east and have great sea view, whereas the lobby faces west, offering a mountain view. The spacious central or smaller side bedroom balconies can be reached through large doors, as can the rear lobby veranda, all providing the same uninterrupted, beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.
The lower level consists of the playroom with pool table, table tennis and a sitting area and have window facing east, with a garden view. The other rooms of this level (bedroom with en-suite bathroom, storage, washing-ironing area, electromechanical facilities) are not open to guests.
The decoration of the interior is inspired by the dominant surrounding element, the sea. Pebbles penetrate the antique marble floors and the bathrooms, shells scattered on curtains, lampshades and bowls, nautical themes on wall pictures and decoration items, shades of blue.
Outdoors the villa is surrounded by verandas and gardens arranged on different levels reached by pebble pathways and stone stairs. The main outdoor sitting-lounging area is located at the front porch, with the dinning area right next to it. There you can sit, eat, relax, chat, read, enjoy yourself! Extra outdoor sitting areas can be found on the first floor bedroom balconies, or at the rear veranda.
An infinity swimming pool (12,5 m x 5,5 m and 3,2 m deep), with a shallow area for pool games within, is adjacent to the house, surrounded by a wooden deck, partly shaded, and equipped with an outdoor shower. This is the place to relax, sunbathe, read, or even nap on reclining armchairs and benches. For the active ones, an inflated water volleyball net and water polo goal are available for pool games.
The full size doubles tennis court, with hard (quick) surface, is in front of the main building at a lower level and can be reached through the garden pathways. A basketball hoop and archery facilities, with Olympic and children’s bows, are also available there.
The “belvedere kiosk” is at the northeast edge of the grounds, hanging right above the sea, just beyond the estate’s vineyard, providing extra outdoors sitting area and magnificent view. It is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks or a nightcap and an absolute must for watching the moon rise over the island of Poros.
A tradition of the villa is to swim in the moonbeam during a full moon.
The villa is right by the sea, and offers the opportunity to engage in various water and sea activities, the closest thing to living on a boat. Just 20 meters from the main gate is a pebble and coarse sand beach with crystal clear water. You can swim, snorkel, and enjoy the water and the sea floor, watch schools of fish, sea urchins, starfish and, if lucky, sea turtles and seahorses, and even dolphins swimming by at a distance. Nearby is another pebble beach that can be reached by the provincial road, half a kilometer away, 15-minute walk or 3 minutes by car.
If you enjoy swimming, snorkeling, rowing or sailing, you can easily visit both beaches within half or maybe an hour, depending on your skills and weather conditions. In the nearby village of Ancient (Palaiá) Epídavros, 13.5 km away, there is a scuba diving-ski school where private lessons or excursions can be arranged. Boats are also available for hire there, with or without a skipper. On the island of Poros, 25 km away, there are excellent water skiing and wake boarding facilities, with tutoring for all levels of expertise, in calm water, that is also used extensively for rowing. Outriggers can be rented there.
The villa is equipped with three sailing boats (two Lasers, Olympic class sailing boats, and a Walker bay 310) with easy to launch trailers and professional assistance if required. There is also a Novurania 4.80 m, inflatable rib speedboat that can accommodate up to 5 persons + skipper which can be used for small excursions to near beaches, ports and islands (on request). Wake boarding lessons for beginners can be arranged on request, taught by the owners’ son, a former national champion in the junior men’s class.
There also are bicycles available, in two sizes, for exploring the area, but keep in mind that the roads leading to and from the villa are steep.
Although the villa is self-sufficient, the surrounding area is so full of interesting places that renting a car is advised.
