Both villas have private swimming pools, with views towards the sea and are surrounded by large courtyards and verandas. The construction of the two villas was completed on January 2010. The basic material which was used was local stone following traditional building techniques with 50cm walls. The roofs, but also every wooden structure outside the houses, are made of Chestnut which was brought from Mount Athos. The doors and windows are also made out of wood (Niagon), and are equipped with modern mechanisms and insulation systems. The interior spaces have oak floors while for bathrooms and kitchens, a cement- based mortar is used prepared with old traditional techniques. The same material is used for all exterior areas, emphasizing the relationship between the built and the natural- cultural environment of the island. Both villas are fully furnished, mainly with handmade furniture by local carpenters and equipped with TV’s, air conditioning, washing machines, heating boilers, wi-fi, etc.
