Villa Lion

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at Lion Villa and the complete experience has blown us away it was truly amazing and we could not ask for more. From our initial booking the service and communication was superb, on arrival Evan one of the sons as this is a family run business was at the airport to collect us In the mini van plenty of room for 8 plus luggage, after a 10 minute drive we arrive at the most wonderful location with breathtaking views, the complex of 3 villas all very private with their own pool are outstanding, spacious, luxourious, and no expense has been spared on the quality and design of the indoor and outdoor furniture.....the mattresses are so comfortable and high end, the pillars superb ...well you get the picture nothing at all to fault all wonderful! Breakfast is included in a communial area served from 8 to 11am very relaxed wonderful views and a fantastic choice Evan caters for everyone , Thick Greek yogurt, homemade jams, wonderful honey, granola and cereals, pasteries sweet and savoury, bacon, sausage, eggs of your choice cooked fresh by Evans cousin anything that you require that wasn’t there would be noted and available the next day ...everything is fresh and locally sourced and so tasty! Evan is available from 8am to 11pm and nothing is to much trouble included in the price is the free shuttle service Evan will take you to the supermarket, drop and collect you from the beach, run you to town, collect you when your shopped out , drop you to the bars and restaurants again a world class service!. Reservations for restaurants, tables in bars, quad bikes to hire, sailing boat to charter once again all taken care of and arranged with no hassle! Villas cleaned daily, fresh towels, bottled water supplied as much as you require everything has been thought of and catered for. We have stopped in many Villas, hotels and complexes across the world but the Aries Villas, location and service is one of the best I have ever experienced....this holiday will be amazing and you will want to go back time and time again ....Evan thank you for making our holiday so wonderful and we can’t wait to visit you again very soon we now see you as a friend thank you....Amazing!

A group of friends spent 7 peaceful nights in villa Lion. It was our second visit to Aries villas and every bit as good as the first visit. The villa was more than large or our party of 8 but we spent most of our time outside. The external space is excellent, the pool is large and very clean, and the combination of open and covered space gave us ample room to spread out and relax. The location is beautiful, the villa having views of the sea. The mini bus service is excellent, John and Evan are brilliant hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We have been home 6 days and are planning our next visit, book it you won't be disappointed!!!!!!

There is always some degree of nervousness when you turn up to your accommodation. There was pure joy when we turned up. We had chosen well! After having visited Skiathos on numerous occasions over the past 10 years, this was our second time in a villa. We were 6 adults and 3 children from 2 up to 8 years of age. We stayed in a similar location in the previous villa rental and had a hire van to get around in which came with its own problems - designated driver etc. What appealed to us with villa Lion was the free transfers anywhere at any time. So firstly location. It's about 6/7 mins out of town by car up a steep hill and in a secluded location. The views are something to behold, and I miss them every day. There is one taverna within walking distance. But then the transfers would take you anywhere anyway! Evan, the owners son and main day to day contact was super attentive and sorted any issues (issues being minor like a bulb gone) instantly. He also booked us a lot of restaurants on request before we arrived as we were a large group so that was superb too. He took us to the beach every time we wanted and picked us up whenever we whatsapped him. The villa we stayed in had 4 double bedrooms and one single split over three levels. Two of the doubles were in the basement level which was a little dark but it was a release from the the heat for those who stayed down there. There is also a kitchen, sitting areas and large balcony down there too. Plus another sofa bed if needed. The rooms upstairs are large bright and airy. One room upstairs and one down doesn't have an ensuite but it really doesn't matter as each floor has a large bathroom. Air con is in every room with separate controls. Everything is modern and so comfortable. They haven't spared any expense on furnishings. It was genuinely gorgeous. The villa is cleaned every day! With new towels provided too. The pool area is gorgeous too and we ate out here every time we stayed in for the day or evening - using the BBQ on a couple of occasions. The area around the pool can be a little slippery when wet so bring pool shoes for young children. There were nice little touches here like colour changing pool lights and power sockets everywhere. Breakfast is provided between the villas and was so much more than we were expecting. Omelettes, eggs and pancakes made to order with fresh fruit, bacon, sausages, pastries, juice, cake and so much more on offer every day! The homemade jams and marmalades were incredible. We paid a little extra for 2 days and the families aunt and mother came over from the mainland and prepared us lunch and dinner! My word it was amazing. So much traditional, gorgeous memorable food, cooked with love. We could have requested anything but in the end left it up to them and we weren't disappointed. They even made sure the kids were catered for. The grounds are immaculate and always pretty with an abundance of plants and flowers. You even get a yacht trip with part of the bookings which was worth every penny and I have reviewed separately. This is one of if not the finest villa around so don't even think twice about booking it. They even give you a Parting gift which is just amazing but I won't spoil the surprise for you. Stunning. I will always remember this place and hope to go back. Many great memories were made here. And that's all you can ask from your holiday accommodation.
