On March 11th, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of coronavirus, known as COVID-19, to be a global pandemic. Since then, governments around the world have taken action to contain the spread of the virus.
The Greek Government announced on March 14th that all seasonal hotel and villa openings will be postponed to May 1st, 2020 in order to combat the spread of coronavirus. My Greek Villa is complying with this provision, taking all responsible necessary action prescribed by the national and local authorities.
We fully support the preventative measures, which are aimed to ensure the health and wellbeing of our guests and staff. Our hearts and thoughts are with everyone affected around the world and, along with the rest of the Greek tourism sector, we will do everything we can to contribute to a swift end to this unprecedented situation.We are proactively getting updates on recommendations and advice from the relevant health authorities.
We are providing the following coverage for COVID-19 under our extenuating circumstances policy to help protect our guests and provide peace of mind. Please monitor this page for updates.
- For any new reservations customers will have the option to cancel/modify their booking until May 15th without a cancellation fee.
- Existing eservations with a check-in date until May 1, 2020, are covered by the policy. Guests will receive a full refund.
- The cancellation policy provided for in our Terms and Conditions will apply as usual to reservations with check-in dates after May 1, 2020.
We recommend that you get full travel insurance to cover you against any disruptions that may happen. Your travel insurance should also cover you if your flights get cancelled or you can’t go ahead with any other services booked for your holiday. It is important that you familiarise yourself with the insurance provider’s terms in respect to holiday cancellations prior to purchase.
