In the private grounds of the villa, there are two buildings dating from 1870. Each building has its own unique atmosphere and has played a leading role in the history and culture of the village.
Renting villa Ioanna is the perfect solution to a shared family holiday. Each family has its own villa, so while sharing the outdoor facilities, if needed can spend time alone in their own accommodation. The villa is rented as a complete complex and the buildings are not rented separately. Villa Ioanna can accommodate in total 11 persons in the two buildings.
The first building includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and kitchen. There is a delightful view from the roof terrace across the village and to the countryside beyond.The second building includes two bedrooms, (one of which is in the loft and has access to it via stairs), two bathrooms, living room and kitchen with dining area. The bedrooms in the 2 buildings consist of 2 double beds, 4 single beds and a queen size bed. There is also a sofa that can be used as a bed. All the furniture in the Villa has recently been refurbished.
The property has all the characteristics of a traditional Cretan village house, but has been furnished in a modern minimalistic style. This allows to have the comfort and convenience of today's lifestyle intermingled with a little taste of Crete's history and culture.
Entry through the front door brings you into the living room which has been tastefully furnished and has a sofa that folds out to provide extra sleeping accommodation. The kitchen/dining area is at the opposite end of the room and a staircase takes you up to the first floor. Here you find the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, fitted wardrobes and a dressing table. The staircase continues into the loft where there is a further bedroom with a double bed, fitted wardrobes and dressing table.
Internally the house has been equipped to a high standard and includes such features as a fully fitted kitchen and for your entertainment a home cinema system, satellite TV (Including Greek TV Channels). There is Wi-Fi internet and access to Viber. Guests have the free use of bicycles throughout their stay.
Externally there is a very pleasant court yard filled with mature plants and trees -a perfect place to sit and relax during the long, warm summer evenings. Also situated in the courtyard for your enjoyment is a swimming pool.
Time spent in the villa will give you the perfect opportunity to experience the true Cretan lifestyle. Pigi is a traditional working village where the inhabitants go about their daily business in the same way as they did many years ago. The village has two traditional bakeries, two mini-markets, two taverns both serving local cuisine and a pharmacy. Those who have experienced the friendliness and warm welcome given by the local people know that it is a place that you would like to return to again and again.
Telephone contact with the owners of the Villas can be made as often as necessary. Guests can use two sun beds and a beach umbrella on our beautiful private family beach with its crystal clear waters. If you care to avail of this facility it has to be pre booked.

- Payment Process for Your Stay
To book your stay, you only need to pay 35% of the total amount as an initial deposit. Please note that your reservation will only be confirmed after a 24-hour period, during which we will seek the owner’s approval to ensure the villa is available for your chosen dates. Once this confirmation is received, our My Greek Villa team will send you an email with all the rental details and clear instructions on how to complete the final payment. - Booking and Payment Policies
Booking: To secure your reservation, a deposit equal to 35% of the total cost of your stay is required. If the booking is made less than 60 days before your arrival date, the full amount must be paid to confirm the reservation. The reservation will only be confirmed after a 24-hour period, during which we will seek the owner’s approval to ensure the villa is available. - Balance Payment: The remaining balance for your rental must be paid no later than 60 days before the start of your stay. You will receive a reminder 3 days before the final payment is due, along with a new payment link.
- Final Confirmation: After we receive your full payment, a confirmation document will be sent to you. You will also receive an email with detailed instructions on how to reach the villa, your expected arrival date and time, the person who will greet you, and any necessary information regarding transfer arrangements, if applicable.
- Security Deposit: A security deposit will be requested before your arrival. No deposit is charged during the booking process. If the host needs to claim the deposit, they must provide evidence of any damage, and you will be notified accordingly. The deposit is never taken without prior notification.
